Halloween party for Vincent Trocheck and wife takes tough turn as fans believe their costumes are tasteless

Halloween is here and many NHL teams are hosting costume parties, one NHL player who is facing backlash for his 'tasteless' costume is New York Rangers star forward Vincent Trochek.

TROCHECK DID WHAT
Said a New York Rangers fan Thursday, October 31st on social media.

It's unknown whether Trochek's post on social media, which showcased his Halloween costume was meant for the team costume party or a friend get together, but regardless- without those details, backlash has been surfacing.

For some reason I feel concerned about their costume. But also to a team event. They wouldn't.... right?
Said a fan.

Their costume appears to be The Menendez Brothers, who have been trending recently over their Netflix documentary labeled 'Monsters'.

For those who don't know the Menendez brothers, here is a brief description:

The Menendez Brothers is a 2024 American true crime documentary film directed by Alejandro Hartmann for the streaming company Netflix, in which brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted of the 1989 murders of their parents, are interviewed about the case.
According to The Menendez Brothers (film)
Unfortunately my gut was correct. I hate people. I'm so angry I don't have words.
Said the fan who posted the original photo of Trochek and his wife.

If Trochek wasn't in the spotlight as an NHL player- would this costume go viral for being 'tasteless'? Regardless, everyone is titled to their own opinion, let's hear yours in the poll below on this matter.
