The Chicago Blackhawks have the chance to select a top talent at 2nd overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
Veteran Chris Chelios was interviewed on the Mully & Haugh Show about the upcoming draft and how he felt they should move.
Chelios felt it was more important to surround Connor Bedard with the talent to succeed in the future.
So it sounds like Chelios feels that the team should add someone like Ivan Demidov or Cayden Lindstrom to help push the team forward.
«You can't go wrong either way, but if I'm them, I'm leaning toward that forward just to help out Bedard a little bit,» Chelios said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Wednesday morning. «He needs someone to play with.»
But ultimately, they could go defense-heavy, considering this draft has a lot of high-end defensive talent unlike 2023.
With Macklin Celebrini projected to go 1st overall, the team will have the chance to select a top talent no matter who Kyle Davidson decides to choose after the fact.
