Blackhawks Kyle Davidson addresses trading the No. 2 overall pick in 2024 draft
It appears that the Blackhawks have decided what they will do with the 2nd overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
The team will utilize the 2nd pick according to NHL Insider Charlie Roumeliotis, who reported it today on X.com:
#Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson said he hasn't gotten many calls about the No. 2 overall pick.
Nevertheless, he said they're going to make the selection. They know who they want. The internal debate is over.
The team has already had the debate and while there's been rumors swirling of who they will choose with the 2nd overall pick, we can only speculate.
Though it seems that the team could favor MSU defenseman, Artyom Levshunov.
Davidson says the Blackhawks have made their decision with the #2 pick.
There was also talk of Ivan Demidov and Cayden Lindstrom being selected by the Blackhawks, but we're not certain if Demidov made enough of an impact in Florida to be chosen by GM Kyle Davidson 2nd overall.
Blackhawks getting calls on the No. 2 pick but they're telling teams they're keeping the pick.
Who knows what happened, but apparently other NHL teams just didn't have what the Blackhawks needed to move on from the pic.
Pay attention on June 28th at 7:00 PM, the 2024 NHL Draft will begin in the Las Vegas Sphere.
The Blackhawks have a chance to select the next biggest Blackhawks prospect in the pipeline behind players like Oliver Moore, Frank Nazar and Ethan Del Mastro.
