Chicago Blackhawks receive a 'HUGE' boost to their lineup following statement by head coach Luke Richardson
The Chicago Blackhawks are getting a 'big' boost as 'HUGE' 6-foot-8 defenseman Louis Crevier returns from a facial injury.
The 22-year-old rookie missed the last two games after getting hit in the mouth by a puck during a game against the Carolina Hurricanes earlier this week.
Crevier, who stands at an impressive 6-foot-8 and weighs 228 pounds, adds a strong presence to the Blackhawks' defense. Although he was drafted in the seventh round in 2020, he's already making an impact in his first NHL season, with three assists in 20 games.
But adjusting to the NHL hasn't been easy for Crevier. On a struggling Blackhawks team, his possession numbers have been below average, with a 39.3 CF% at even strength and a -13 rating. Still, his return is good news for the Blackhawks, who can use his size and defensive skills on the ice.
