3 Mock Trades to Aquire Matthew Tkachuk
Matthew Tkachuk will be out the door this week, including to two inside sources. Here are the top 3 destinations I see him landing in.
St Louis Blues Receive: Matthew Tkachuk
The Flames are going to most likely get a first rounder any team they trade him to. Jake Neighbours is a 20 year old defensemen with little NHL experience. His 2 points in 9 games wasn't enough to impress the Blues to add him to the roster. Although there still is a lot more room for improvement at his age. Torey Krug had 34 points this season. He is a 31 year old defensemen who still has a few years left in him.
Calgary Flames Receive - Pierre Luc Dubois
Winnipeg Jets Receive: Matthew Tkachuk
Yes, the good ole player swap. Both players seem to not want to resign with their respective team, and a new change of scenery could be nice for them. This is the most unlikely trade to happen, though.
Calgary Flames Receive: Patrick Laine and 2023 1st
Columbus Blue Jackets Receive: Matthew Tkachuk and 2023 2nd
Patrick Laine doesn't seem he wants to stay with the Blue Jackets anymore. If Columbus wants chemistry, they would get Tkachuk. And Matt said «I've heard a lot of good things about Columbus.» All signs point to Johnny Gaudreau as he signed there recently. Although it would be tough money wise.
St Louis is currently the front runner for Matthew Tkachuk.
