A shocking prediction is made about Connor Bedard by an insider
As we struggle through pre-season hockey, Connor Bedard's rookie season is just weeks away. He is seen as the savior of the franchise, carrying a burden unlike any other generational talent.
As a known generational talent, Bedard scored 243 points in two seasons of junior hockey in the WHL. While many don't anticipate Bedard winning the Stanley Cup any time soon, they do anticipate a good competition for the Calder Trophy.
A bold prediction was made by NHL Insider Andy Strickland regarding Bedard's rookie season, however.
"Connor Bedard will not win the Calder Trophy." - Andy Strickland
In Strickland's opinion, Bedard may not win the Calder Trophy, but who says he won't have a good rookie season?
According to Strickland, Bedard is bound for a 26-29 goal season, which isn't too bad considering some rookies have difficulty adjusting.
We anticipate that Bedard will impress us all with his abilities on the ice and his ability to gel with his teammates despite not seeing him reach 100 points right away.
