Alex DeBrincat said what about Canada?
Today, the Ottawa Senators announced their new owner, marking the beginning of the Michael Andlauer era.
However, it seems that the team's hopes of signing former 40-goal scorer, Alex DeBrincat, have been dashed.
DeBrincat doesn't want to spend the next 8 years in Canada according to
@SunGarrioch
Also states he'll be moved at the draft.
Despite putting up 66 points in a challenging season alongside talented teammates like Josh Norris, Claude Giroux, and Tim Stutzle, it appears that DeBrincat's reluctance to commit to a long-term stay in Canada may be the obstacle to securing his signature.
It remains unclear where the Michigan native will end up next, but joining the Detroit Red Wings could be a favorable move for him, but there's no word of the winger being linked to the team as of yet.
