Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane is beginning to draw more attention now that Vladimir Tarasenko is no longer available after being traded earlier this week. He was connected to the Stars and the Rangers only a few days ago (with New York likely out of the picture now following the Tarasenko deal).
The Athletic's Scott Powers and Mark Lazerus claim that Patty Kane's new "buyers" arethe Hurricanes, Wild, and Golden Knights.
The 34-year-old has a complete no-move clause in his contract, and if he chooses to waive it, it's anticipated that the shortlist of contending teams thathe'd provide Chicago.
These potential fits, including Dallas as reported last week, are important in that they all appear to be Kane's sole short-term choices. But there is almost no way the Dallas Stars can afford Kane, and #88 would like to finish his career wherever he ends up next, so you can likely scratch the Stars out of the mix.
