Last night, defenseman Jarred Tinordi played in his first game since Dec. 18 against the Winnipeg Jets. He broke his jaw and was out for almost two months with a facial fracture. He was activated Feb. 7 along with forward Tyler Johnson, who returned on Saturday to play against the Arizona Coyotes.
Tinordi played with Caleb Jones in the third defensive pairing. He got into a fight early in the third period against forward Adam Lowry. Tinordi didn't pick up a point in his return, but he has five points (2G, 3A) so far this season.
If he manages to stay healthy, we'll likely see him through the rest of the season. With rumors surrounding defensemen like Jake McCabe and Connor Murphy, Tinordi might get an extension if they're traded by the deadline.
