The rumors have been swirling since last summer. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are in their 16th seasons with the Blackhawks and have both found themselves the center of trade rumors for the last year and a half. With both contracts set to expire at the end of the year, the noise has never been louder.
Kyle Davidson was supposed to sit down with Toews and Kane at the end of January to discuss their no movement clauses, but that timeline has supposedly changed.
According to Hockey Night In Canada, the decisions on Toews and Kane will not be made until mid February, which would leave the Blackhawks roughly 2 weeks to make a trade if the players want to leave Chicago. Kyle Davidson will be on the Blackhawks Talk pregame show prior to the Kings game, so we will see Davidson's side of the report.
