The Chicago Blackhawks are a utterly mess as of late, after announcing that the franchise will be taking the full-rebuilding approach moving forward many thought a few young players would be involved, such as 25 year old Dylan Strome, 24 year old Alex DeBrincat and 27-year old goaltender Kevin Lankinen who has only played two seasons in the NHL and has hardly gotten his feel for the league..

Well the Chicago Blackhawks are in need of a goaltender to back-up newly traded for goaltender Petr Mrazek, and the team has announced they have signed 34-year old aging goaltender Alex Stalock who has been a backup one nine out of his ten years spent in the national hockey league. Stalock has played one game in nearly three of the last years, dating back to 2019 with the Minnesota Wild..

Chicago Sports writer Ben Pope gave some interesting info on Stalock's past, he missed the entire 2021 season with a heart condition, than returned in American Hockey League where he had a very underwhelming performance with a .869 save% in 17 AHL games and a .786 sv% in 1 NHL game for SJS. It seems as if the Blackhawks are really encouraging the ''tanking'' stage..
