This morning it was announced that Ian Mitchell has been called up from Rockford. He will likely be taking Jarred Tinordi's spot in the lineup. Tinordi was placed on injured reserve this morning with a hip injury after missing the last two games.
Mitchell played two games with the Blackhawks this season, last appearing against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has no NHL points yet this season, but has six points (2G, 4A) in five games for the IceHogs. Tinordi has five points (2G, 3A) in 20 games this season.
Tinordi was originally expected to only miss a week, but as of right now there's no timeline for his return.
