The Chicago Blackhawks are facing potential roster challenges ahead of Thursday's game as defenseman Jarred Tinordi enters concussion protocol, according to coach Luke Richardson. Tinordi, who recently returned to the lineup, is now sidelined due to the injury, and the team is evaluating their options for a replacement.

Additionally, forward Andreas Athanasiou is dealing with a groin injury and has not yet resumed skating. The team is optimistic that Athanasiou will hit the ice by the end of the week.

Athanasiou's injury occurred during a third-period hit on Juuso Parssinen, who also sustained an injury in the incident. Tinordi did not play the final 15 minutes of regulation.

Coach Richardson expressed the significance of Tinordi's absence, stating,

"That's a big loss. We just got him back, and I'm sure he's frustrated. Hopefully, he's not too bad. Sometimes they linger, and sometimes people respond well to them."

Jarred Tinordi has officially entered concussion protocol and will not participate in today's practice, further complicating the Blackhawks' defensive lineup as they prepare for the upcoming game.
