Blackhawks head coach with the quote of the year during interview
As expected from the Blackhawks' off-season departures in Alex DeBrincat, Kirby Dach and others, the Blackhawks are officially in tank mode. As an organization it seems to be draining players, Kane and Toews' remaining days in the Windy City are spent in a negative, losing atmosphere.
The Blackhawks have yet to win a game in regulation in 50 days, totalling over 20 games now, times are tough, and head coach Luke Richardson is trying his best to lighten the mood all around.
During a recent media interview, reporter Phil Thompson asked the Blackhawks head coach some questions about the lineup and more, Richardson related to every Blackhawks fans thoughts after losing so many games:
"I was thinking about drinking five beers quick. But I'll wait till ... now."
--Luke Richardson answering my question about what held him up postgame (just some necessary roster moves) but he used it as chance for this joke.
It's good to see there is still light within the organization.
