The Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeny has been busy putting the band back together.
After re-signing captain Patrice Bergeron to a one-year contract extension earlier today the Boston Bruins announced they have signed former Bruin David Krejci to a one-year deal worth $1,000,000 dollars.
Sources say the mutual signings of both Bergeron and Krejci is what made them both agree to sign one year deals.
Krejci is 36, he was drafted by the Bruins back in the 2004 NHL Draft, in the second round 63rd overall. Krejci played in 15 seasons with the Bruins scoring 150 goals, and had 515 assists in 962 career games.
Last season Krejci decided to leave the the NHL to play in Czechia his home country.
However, like Bergeron Krejci wants to take one more shot at the Stanley Cup which the Bruins last won in 2011 over the Vancouver Canucks.
