«Gee, Simon... you shouldn't have had that bean burrito before the game!"

Jonathan Toews, Forward, Chicago Blackhawks

Jonathan Toews made it through 1,000 games and he may not have had to endure an ordeal as depicted in this photo. He has however played 14 years in the NHL. He has accumulated 355 goals, 489 assists for 844 career points. This 2021-22 season has been a different story. He has only had 10 goals, 19 assists in 58 games. Those kinds of stats may resemble the atmosphere emitting from Simon Benoit.

"Comeon, with a name like Claude, you're not going to fight me... really?"

Caleb Jones, Defenceman, Chicago Blackhawks

If Caleb couldn't handle the situation himself, he could always elicit help from his 6'-4", 208 pound big brother, Seth. Of course, Seth seems to be out there the entire game with an average of 26:05 of playing time per game. I wouldn't mess with either one of them!

"Gee, Jonathan you're losing a lot of hair dude... how old are you again?"

Alex DeBrincat, Forward, Chicago Blackhawks

DeBrincat is just 24 years old, so relating to Toews losing his hair and aging at a soon to be 34 years old may be difficult for him. His time will come, but for now DeBrincat is satisfied with his 39 goals, 26 assists in 69 games. His 0.94 points per game average puts a smile on Blackhawks fans faces. While Toews hasn't had that much success since his 2018-19 season with a 0.99 points per contest average. Toews has really digressed since then. He has gone from 80 points in 2018-19 to 60 points, and finally to just 29 this year. Is his usefulness seen its better days? We'll see.

In the end, the month of March was not too friendly to the Hawks. They went 5-8-2 for just 12 points out of a possible 30. That comes in at just a .400 points percentage which depicts their dismal 7th place standing in the Central Division.
As they say, there's always next year! If you're not braced for a rebuild, well you better have lots of Chicago pizza and beer ready for the next couple of seasons... you'll need it!
