Chicago Blackhawks legend officially lands NHL head coaching job
The Ottawa Senators made a coaching change by letting go of head coach D.J. Smith.
Former Chicago Blackhawks player Jacques Martin steps in as the interim head coach, and former Senators winger Daniel Alfredsson joins as an assistant coach on Martin's staff.
Assistant coach Davis Payne was also relieved of his duties. These moves signal a shift in the coaching structure as the team looks to make strategic adjustments.
The changes aim to bring a mix of experience and familiarity to the coaching staff, but things haven't gone too well so far.
