Connor Bedard Gets Asked About Drinking Alcohol at 18
In a recent interview with Pat Mcafee, Connor Bedard from the Chicago Blackhawks was interviewed.
He was asked about building bonds with his teammates on the Hawks, framing his age as a disadvantage.
Bedard was asked how he is going to build camaraderie with the team since he has 3 years until he is of legal drinking age(in the United States).
Asked how he would immerse himself in the team culture without drinking, Bedard replied there's more to life than alcohol, which is a good answer.
Despite the fact that he cannot drink during team dinners and such, he is feeling really good about the camaraderie on the team. His impression was that the room was really gelling. As the Hawks are younger than a lot of NHL teams currently, I don't imagine drinking is a priority and Bedard seems at home in the locker room.
Ironically, Connor Bedard inspired the Pat Mcafee show to add a new segment called "Hockey Is Awesome" in October.
