Back in 2018, #1 pick Connor Bedard suffered an injury to his right arm that put him in a cast for 12 weeks. In an interview, he opened up about it and what he did to keep practicing.
One bad thing about this is that it happened to his shooting hand. Instead of not practicing, he shot with his left. However, he does not think it helped his shot but thinks it gave him a little strength in his left arm.
Bedard thinks of it as an injury and that he pushed through it, again showing off the maturity and mental toughness of the 17-year-old. We're all excited to see what Bedard can do this season in a Hawks uniform.
