Connor McDavid and Several Others Speak Out Over Ivan Provorov Situation
Ivan Provorov of the Philadelphia Flyers has emerged as the most controversial subject just 19 days into the year. Players wore pride-themed jerseys during warmups for the Philadelphia Flyers' "pride appreciation night," and the jerseys were later auctioned off to raise money for charity.
Provorov opted out of wearing the pride-flagged jersey and sat in the locker room while his teammates warmed up.
Since it happened, it has generated a ton of controversy, and almost every major NHL reporter, player, and organization has spoken out against it.
