Could Patrick Kane Become a Boston Bruin?
The NHL trade deadline is slowly creeping up on us with just 18 days left until we are there, which means Patrick Kane's window with the Blackhawks might be closing. Kane's agent Pat Brisson and all involved seems to want to get something done at least 10 days before the deadline.
With that being said we wonder if The Boston Bruins would be interested in acquiring Kane. They are already pretty stacked being first in the league in points with 83 and have a seven point lead on second place. They are currently going through their worst stretch of the season being just 1-3-1 in their last 5 games.
Saying that Kane isn't at 100% health wise, and his stats this year are his worst in his career to this point, but that could just be because he's playing on a not so good Blackhawks team. A trade to a solid contender like the Bruins might benefit Kane, and may seem to find his game again.
Kane would obviously be a rental, but if everything clicks with the Bruins maybe he considers signing an extension with them after the season depending how it goes. It would definitely be weird seeing him wear a Bruins jersey, considering the Blackhawks beat them to win the Stanley Cup back in 2013.
There were reports before about Fabian Lysell and a 1st round pick going to Chicago for Kane, but it's hard to imagine the Bruins giving up that much for someone who isn't 100% and will more then likely be a rental.
