Double Bench Clearing Brawl Breaks Record For Most Penalty Minutes With How Many?
We say this a lot, but fights are one of the best parts about hockey. Not the fact that players punch each other, but just the fact that if players are annoyed with each other then they are able to drop the gloves and settle the dispute like men.
Once the fight is over it is a clean slate and the players go back to playing the game. It is truly a beautiful thing.
Sometimes, though, the fights can get out of hand, like it did with the Danbury Hat Tricks and Carolina Thunderbirds.
There were over 180 penalty minutes and 8 games misconducts handed out for this melee.
