The good? Alex DeBrincat, Kirby Dach, Dylan Strome and Dominik Kubalik, all who are dominating with their new organizations.
The Blackhawks were sadly expected to trade away DeBrincat and Dach, but they didn't re-sign one player who was almost certain he'd be back in Chicago, and that's Dylan Strome.
Dylan Strome had a very close relationship with Alex DeBrincat, Taylor Raddysh, Sam Lafferty and many others as they have all played together when they were under 20 years of age for the Erie Otters in the OHL, but the band was broken up..
Strome was not re-signed for the Blackhawks, a 25 year old center who was coming off his best year with the organization on a line with Patrick Kane seemed to be almost a sure-shot to be brought back, but Kyle Davidson didn't budge, as reportedly Strome did not ''meet the criteria'' of Davidson's rebuilding plans.
Strome is now going to be facing off against the Chicago Blackhawks for his first time at the United Centre since not being re-signed, and Strome was questioned on how he was feeling returning back..
Of course there were the ''it'll be great to see the fans again'' type of comments, but there was also a more-so negative one, that really puts things into perspective on how frustrating it must've been for Strome to not be re-signed.
It appears the Strome and his family were convinced by the Blackhawks organization that they wouldn't have to pack their bags and leave Chicago, until just days later they were informed he'll be relocating and hitting the trade market.
Tough news for Strome, but we are happy he is off to a hot start in Washington.
