In a recent chat on Sportsnet's 32 Thoughts Podcast, Elliotte Friedman stated something big for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Friedman said:
"Chicago, that's a team, if I was them, I'd be looking at Kuzmenko."
The talk hinted at the idea of the Blackhawks making a move for Andrei Kuzmenko, a young goal scorer for the Vancouver Canucks who would fit the Blackhawks' rebuild plans perfectly.
Especially if he becomes available for trade, while Friedman considered the interest from other teams like the Islanders, he pointed out the Blackhawks' struggle to score, saying, "Chicago, they cannot score."
This info adds an interesting twist to the trade talks around Kuzmenko, and Blackhawks fans might be eagerly waiting to see what the team does next to address their scoring challenges.
General manager Kyle Davidson is no stranger to completing major moves (DeBrincat, Kane, Hagel etc) and if Kuzmenko is available you can bet that Davidson will inquire about acquiring the goal-scoring forward to pair alongside Connor Bedard in Chicago.
