FLASHBACK: Hawks set a franchise record
The Hawks had an awesome performance last season, blowing out the New Jersey Devils 8-5. Some may have been distracted by the Blackhawks amazing play to realize they have set a new record since 2003.
Former team players Steve Sullivan and Eric Daze, played a key part in the Blackhawks organization in the 1990's and 2000's.
MARCH 9TH- 2003- Eric Daze and Steve Sullivan set Blackhawks record of having two players in a single game record hat tricks, which is a huge accomplishment that has recently not been done by very little teams.
FEBRUARY 25TH- 2022- Patrick Kane and Brandon Hagel both recorded a hat trick against the New Jersey Devils. Setting a new record for hat tricks in a game, and accomplishing Hagel's first NHL hat trick at thee age of 23 years old.
Hagel was drafted in 2016, but has only made his full time appearance into the Hawks lineup with 99 games played. Recording 54 points as a 23 year old rookie.
