Even after battling an injury sustained some time in the first OT period, Hartman kept pushing through, and returned to the game.
Along with the help of some spectacular defense by rookie Brock Faber, and Gustavsson stopping 52 of 54 shots (the most Minnesota has ever faced in a playoff game), the 28 year old forward was able to help his teammates finish what they started.
Kirill Kaprisov started things off for the Wild with a PPG in the final minute of the first period. Dallas tied it up with a PPG of their own, courtesy of Roope Hintz at 2:08 into the 2nd. Yet another PPG from Dallas (Robertson) just over 2 minutes later, gave them the lead. Sam Steel was able to tie it up later in that same period, and that was it for scoring in regulation.
Hartman was available to talk to the media after the game, so hopefully his injury isn't too severe, and we'll be able to keep seeing him in the games to come.
The Wild face the Stars again in Dallas on Wednesday.
