On Friday July 14, former Chicago Blackhawk and Stanley Cup Champion Brent Sopel, spoke on the Raw Knuckles Podcast and had some words for Anaheim Ducks young star Trevor Zegras.
The former NHLer mentioned how the National Hockey League has basically turned soft, with how players are showing each other up and smirking at one other. "Right. you're skilled great, but you love laughing in players faces, laughing in players faces... back in the day you would have gotten your teeth knocked in... there is no respect there anymore."
The Michigan move which Zegras has done numerous times was also brought up in the conversation and no surprise, Brent Sopel isn't very fond of that move either. He coaches his sons hockey team and if anyone tries the lacrosse move they are benched.
In Brent Sopel's original remark about Trevor Zegras, he didn't even properly address his name and seemed to get pretty riddled up when talking about the 22-year-old.
You got what's his face in Anaheim (Trevor Zegras). I would take a two hander to his teeth and love every second of it."
Trevor Zegras actually saw the Instagram post and had a statement of his own, commenting, "Always remeber the 5 Ds of dodgeball". In which he is revering to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge!
