In addition to sports stars and movie stars, others continue to make their way into team ownership, the same situation as it ever has been, as Wayne Gretzky once owned a QMJHL hockey team in the 1990s as well.

There is, however, a supergroup of eight investors including Gabe Landeskog and his former Avalanche teammate Erik Johnson who have decided to put their money into a team in the English Football League.

Former Avalanche teammates Gabriel Landeskog and Erik Johnson have joined an investor group that has purchased Leeds United, a team in England's second-highest soccer league ⚽️

There is a football team called Leeds United in the English Football League (EFL) who are a 2nd tier team in the EFL. Due to the white color of their uniform, they are known as the "Whites" and their main rivals are Chelsea and Manchester United.

In addition to Gabe Landeskog, Erik Johnson, Michael Phelps, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Thomas from the PGA, former NBA player Larry Nance, former Jacksonville Jaguar Myles Jack, and TJ McConnell from the NFL, there are a number of other stars who are involved in the new takeover of Leeds United FC which was recently relegated.
