Gary Bettman receives backlash from OHL over pride stance
In the aftermath of his recent decision, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman faced significant backlash from the hockey community.
As many of you may already know, Bettman made the announcement to remove all special jerseys used during theme nights, following resistance from groups regarding pride nights.
The controversy surrounding this decision escalated as several players expressed their refusal to wear these jerseys, fueling the ongoing debate.
However, the dissent didn't stop there. The Oshawa Generals, an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) team, took to Twitter to express their strong opposition and commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

In a powerful statement, the Generals proudly declared their intention to enhance their Pride Jerseys for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, advocacy, and standing up for their community.
