Hockey Legend's Disgusted by Ovechkin's Son at The All-Star Game: Calls For The NHL to Make a Serious Ban
The NHL's All-Star weekend gained tons of traction throughout social media from the past three-four days, but not for the right reasons. There was very little to look forward to and fans at home were left watching a snooze-fest. The event seemed very unorganized and messy, and fans were not happy.
One thing that did gain a lot of positive attention during the All-Star weekend was
"Baby Ovechkin"
Alexander Ovechkin's four-year old son, Sergei Ovechkin made an appearance and it's drawing a lot of controversy from one specific former NHL player.
First, let's take a look at what is being criticized, which is Sergei's shootout attempt with his father:
Each comment on that post can be seen with Sergei receiving tons of compliments and love from fans, but one former Hall of Famer by the name of Dominik Hasek is not having it.
"The [NHL] has sunk to rock bottom! Letting Ovechkin's son perform on the ice at the NHL All-Star is spitting in the face of approximately 500 killed, thousands injured and tens of thousands of kidnapped Ukrainian children. The NHL and Gary Bettman must pay for this heinous act!"
This statement is causing a lot of controversy, mainly for the reason that Ovechkin still stands alongside Russia's president, and continues to support him throughout the invasion of Ukraine. Hasek wants the NHL to ban Russian athletes once more..
