Viktor Stalberg's first season in a Blackhawks sweater came in the 2010-2011 season. During his first season with Chicago, Stalberg had 24 points in 77 games. During Stalberg's three-year Blackhawk's tenure, he skated in 203 games and tallied 90 points.
During his tenure, the Blackhawks advanced to the playoffs all three years, winning the Stanley Cup in 2013 in 6 games vs the Boston Bruins. Stalberg tallied 6 points in 32 playoff games for Chicago. While the numbers may not jump off the page, Stalberg knew his role and made some big plays for the Blackhawks in the playoffs. He wasn't afraid to throw the body around, drop the gloves for a teammate, or battle in the corner.
After moving on from Chicago, Stalberg played 5 more seasons in the NHL for the Predators, Rangers, Hurricanes, and Senators. Stalberg retired after the 2016-2017 season after playing for the Ottawa Senators. Stalberg finished his career with 82 goals and 86 assists in 488 games played. Stalberg was a very underrated player for the Blackhawks during their 2013 Stanley Cup run and deserves more recognition than what he received.
