Good news for the Blackhawks, as two of their injured players have been cleared for return. Goalie Petr Mrazek, who suffered his 3rd groin injury of the season, and Andreas Englund, who will have missed 7 games including tonight's due to a pulled hamstring, are both expected to join the team for Thursday's game against Washington.
Reese Johnson (concussion) and Anders Bjork (lower body) are still out, though Reese is scheduled to take his clearance test «soon».
For tonight's match-up against Colorado, Alex Stalock will be in the net, and Ian Mitchell will replace Wyatt Kaiser, so he can be eased into the NHL, and have more opportunities to watch and learn, as well as play.
The Blackhawks and Avalanche were scheduled to play 3 games against each other, and the series is tied at 1 each. The Avs won the first game 5-2 back in October, and Chicago took game two, 3-2, in January.
