Last Thursday we seen Chicago Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews play his last game as captain and a member of the Blackhawks. Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson would tell Toews the Blackhawks were not going to re-sign him next season after being with the team since 2006.
Toews would get a well deserved send off by the Blackhawks and its fans as Toews did his final lap and said his goodbyes to the people of Chicago. This had people wonder, what's next for Toews?
Would he retire with his well documented health issues, or sign with another team in free agency, possibly his hometown team the Winnipeg Jets? Well by the sounds of Toews most recent interview it almost seems like Toews is going to retire.
Toews would talk about how special that moment was and how he always thought he would retire a Chicago Blackhawk saying "he still may."
check it out in this video:
If indeed this was the end of Toews's playing career he will leave his mark as the best Chicago Blackhawks captain of all time!
