Patrick Kane has had a very slow year offensively, only putting up 22 points before his 3 point performance against Columbus before the holiday break.
While Patrick Kane had been struggling, it really isn't fair to put the blame on him. The Blackhawks have done a lousy job on keeping his line mates together that he had amazing chemistry with over the years. Due to numerous injuries this season, Kane has been forced to play with a handful of different players this season as well.
Kane has shown that he can still move up and down the ice with the best of them and is still a huge threat with the puck on his stick. The losing streak exposed the lack of production from Kane, but he was still moving the puck well and putting shots on goal. He was generating chances but wasn't getting any results.
It seems that Kane has gained confidence and has gotten comfortable playing along side Max Domi and Tyler Johnson over the last few games. With the new found success, look for the chemistry on this line to keep growing and producing for the Blackhawks.
