Jack Johnson shares funny story about Sid Crosby and baseball
It's always fun to hear the stories of players' pasts especially when they played other sports that are not the ones they are known for.
Such as Tom Glavine who played MLB baseball and was drafted by the LA Kings in the 80s, or Tom Brady famous NFL player who was drafted by the Montreal Expos.
This story was shared by Avalanche defenseman
Jack Johnson to Paul Bissonnette and the NHL on TNT panel about how he and
Sidney Crosby were on the same baseball team back in their time with prep school Shattuck- St. Marys.
Crosby and Johnson had to play a spring sport during their stay with the school, and they chose baseball. During the game, there was an altercation between Crosby, Johnson and the other team's pitcher both were kicked off the team.
Crosby himself even recounted the brawl when he was a special guest on spitting chiclets with Biz back in 2019. Crosby goes into perfect detail about what happened which turned out to be a baseball brawl.
Both players have had excellent careers in hockey and always remember this incident with a chuckle and a good story.
