The new Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes is showing he's not afraid on making changes he believes will improve the Canadiens organization.
After stunning much of the hockey world taking Juraj Slafkovsky first overall instead of who many felt would of been Shane Wright Hughes wasn't done. Hughes would trade fan favorite Alex Romanov and the Canadiens 98th overall pick to the New York Islanders for the 13th overall pick to the displeasure of the fans in the Bell Centre.
After that Hughes would then stun the Bell Centre again trading the 13th overall pick along with the 66th overall pick for a young star Center Kirby Dach. This move the Bell Centre very much improved and fans realize now why we took Juraj Slafkovsky instead of Shane Wright.
Kirby Dach was the Blackhawks 3rd overall pick in 2019 he had 9 goals and 17 assists in 70 games this season and he's just 21 years old.
