Maple Leafs Goaltender Reportedly Caught Cheating on Video Last Night
Although the Toronto Maple Leafs have had a wonderful season, some would say that the goaltenders' "play style" is occasionally questionable. In order to force the referee to blow the whistle and to get a stoppage in play, Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray purposefully knocked his net off the bearings, which made theheadlines earlier in the season.
The Twitter account that picked up on Matt Murray's odd behaviour last night was even run by a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Matt Murray was spotted pulling his net from its mountings when the Leafs held the puck in the offensive zone while the game was in play. He might have thought that everyone was focused on the action at the other end of the rink, but the cameras caught him!
Whatever he was doing, it isn't a good look after the event earlier this season, regardless of whether he was attempting to fix his net or prepare it so it would be knocked off its bearings when necessary. What do you think?
