After a trade to the Blackhawks this season, it was believed that with the additions they made it would be enough to get the Hawks back to the playoffs. Unfortunately this has not been the case and the Blackhawks are looking to move Fleury to a contending team.
It has been rumoured that Fleury has already turned down a trade to the Washington Capitals as he has been part of the Capitals/Penguins rivalry for too long to join the other side of it.
But this current rumour is a little more interesting. This quote comes from hockeyfeed.com
The Edmonton Oilers are believed to be in the mix, though it is rumoured that Flower does not consider them enough of a contender to accept a trade to Edmonton.
Fleury wants to go to a contending team and if the Oilers are showing interest, he does not believe them to be contending anytime soon and will reject the trade.
