The New Jersey Devils ended their thirteen game win streak at home last night, with a historic start to their season they were in hopes to keep being on a ''heater'' said Jack Hughes, a young star with the Devils.

Sadly the Toronto Maple Leafs had other plans, and ruined their hopes of winning fourteen straight, or did the referees?

The Toronto Maple Leafs coaches challenged three goals that the New Jersey Devils scored, ironically whenever a team coaches challenges something a phone call it made to the NHL's headquarters, which happens to be in Toronto.

During the third period Devils fans had enough, they sure had the right to feel that way, but what they did next was not needed and was harmful to the Toronto Maple Leafs players.

Marner, was specifically one of the only Maple Leafs to actually get hit with something and it appeared to be a bottle of some sort, he was not pleased with it as it forced the Toronto Maple Leafs to take a 10 minute break in their locker room and evacuate the ice to give Devils fans, and security time to sort things out.

Mark Masters, a Toronto Maple Leafs reported questioned Marner on how he felt throughout the process of Devils fans throwing garbage, and Marner had this to say:

''It's full beers. It's dangerous. We're not looking for that. We're not seeing it coming. Dodge a couple. It's a dangerous thing. I don't know why it's our fault. They're throwing it to try and hit us. It's the first i've ever seen.''
