Last night against the Los Angeles Kings, defenseman Ian Mitchell drew back into the lineup over Isaak Phillips after remaining the healthy scratch for multiple consecutive games. Late into the third period, Mitchell got past Pheonix Copley to save the Blackhawks from getting shut out.
Mitchell now has four points (1G, 3A) in 13 games with the Blackhawks this season; he has six points (2G, 4A) in five games with the IceHogs. The assists on the lone goal of the night went to forwards Max Domi and Andreas Athanasiou.
