Cody Glass was selected 6th overall and was the first ever draft pick ever made by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017. Being selected that high came with lofty expectations for Glass, but it didn't pan out the way the Knights intended.
Glass was traded to Nashville after appearing in 66 games for Vegas, tallying 22 points during that time. Vegas rushed Glass to the NHL and the lack of patience hurt his development. Glass had 1 point in 8 games for Nashville last season after the trade.
Glass put in a lot of work this offseason in hopes of making the Nashville Predators opening night roster. It turns out that the hard work paid off, as Glass was told that he would be on the main roster to begin the season. Glass had a wholesome reaction to the news as he became overwhelmed with emotions realizing that his hard work paid off. Glass will finally have his shot to prove himself and he will have everyone in his corner rooting for him to succeed.
