It was reported that Robin Lehner has been in some financial trouble back in January.

Lehner bought an exotic snake from a dealer for $1.2 Million, which has led to bad publicity for the goalie, along with being connected to a murder.

The story continues to develop, as Lehner's creditors have gone in a different direction and it's not looking good.

Lehner and his wife, Donya, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection on Dec. 30, later listing $5.2 million of assets and $27.3 million of liabilities. The creditor filing by Aliya Growth Fund (AGF), which loaned Lehner $4.75 million six weeks before he filed for bankruptcy, is the first signal that the process will not be smooth and is unlikely to end by the close of the year, as the debtor had suggested in previous court filings.

The details are juicy as it was reported in January that the former Blackhawks and Golden Knights goal-tender had filed for bankruptcy.

Both of the goalie's creditors in the allegations, Aliya Growth Fund and American Express are seeking payment, after it was revealed that Aliya loaned him $4.75 Million before the filing.

This isn't the first lawsuit Lehner has had to deal with which led to bankruptcy, after running an exotic snake farm. Lehner has been connected to Ben Renick who was the goalie's main dealer in exotic serpents, his first purchase being a snake valued at $1.2 Million.

Renick's wife, who had murdered the dealer(coincidentally Lehner stopped payments afterward) had filed suit with Lehner after he reneged on payments to the estate on the snakes.

If Renick's wife and ex-boyfriend had not murdered Renick, would there be a chance that Lehner would be in this mess?
