NHL Making a Insane Rule Change After Players Speak Out About Their Frustration?
The NHL is officially hosting their media week in Las Vegas, Nevada, where one NHL player per organization receives a invite for a media weekend filled with interviews and fun activities. This week, players were asked one specific question and it is receiving a lot of positive feedback from NHL fans.
''If you could change one thing about the NHL, what would it be?''
More than several NHL players responded and said that they would change the game format to continuous 3 on 3 overtime, and completely get rid of shootouts. Which is quite reasonable, as many teams have spoken out about this in the past.
Players feel as if a 90-minute game, which also included 20-minutes of 3 on 3 overtime totalling 110 minutes, should not be justified in a skills competition (A.K.A, a shootout).
If the NHL takes into consideration that teams have disliked the shootout for many years, and so have fans, we may see a rule change upon us within the upcoming years. Until than, let's take a look at some of the best shootout goals EVER!!
