This is very interesting. Last year's Champions were the Colorado Avalanche; but they aren't expected to go back-to-back.
The 16 teams projected to make Stanely Cup Playoffs are the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, New Jersey Devils, St Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Los Angelas Kings, and New York Rangers.
The Rangers only have a 48% chance to make the playoffs, and are expected to not make it past the Quarterfinal, which is surprising. If New York gets Patrick Kane, you could see that number skyrocket, and see a possible Stanley Cup run.
The team who is projected to win it all? Calgary Flames. Colorado Avalanche at #2, and Toronto Maple Leafs at #3. Everyone thought when Calgary lost Johhny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk, their two star players, everything would fall downhill. They seemed to get better, with the additions of Mackenzie Weegar and Jonathan Huberdeau, and a lot more.
Will the 1st Round meme of Toronto end? Will the Avs go back-to-back? Will Calgary get their cup? Only time will tell.
