The Montreal Canadiens have a new sheriff in town and his name is 21 year old defenceman Arber Xhekaj.
With the Canadiens looking to get out of this losing streak and down 1-0 early, the Canadiens defenceman would lay a sweet hit on Lightning forward Anthony Cirelli.
Pat Maroon didn't like the hit and would decide to drop the gloves. This turned out to be a bad decision for Maroon because Xhekaj would get the better of Maroon in this one.
It's hard to believe Xhekaj is just a rookie the way he's playing he's not intimidated by anyone giving the Canadiens some much needed toughness.
