Patrick Kane Reveals When He May Request a Trade and to Where
Frank Servalli on Daily Faceoff today says Patrick Kane trade situation remains the same since July. Kane would prefer to wait until the season begins before making a decision on whether to accept a trade out of Chicago or not.
Seravalli mentions the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, & Toronto Maple Leafs as suitors. All 3 of those teams however would have to shed salary for the money to work. He also mentions that teams who have reached out
to Chicago are exploring the option of a 3rd party
retention to acquire the Kane cap hit at $2.625 million for the season.
Kane is on the last year of his current contract at 10.5 million annually and is set to be a free agent next summer.
