We can all agree that hockey is a risky sport, if there is one thing that proves it, it's the numerous injuries that have occured so far this year, which seems to be more than ever.
When protecting his turf at La Place Bell, Xavier Simoneau suffered a regrettable strike to the face. Simoneau was accidently struck by Joel Teasdale, a teammate. After many minutes of lying on the ice, the medical crew hurried over and carried the man off on a stretcher.
We wish Simoneau the best of luck and hope that the stretcher was only a precaution and that he will soon be put on ice.
