Scary Moment Breaks Out During Blackhawks Game
The Chicago Blackhawks were in hope to earn their second win in four nights against the red hot New Jersey Devils, but sadly fell short and took a 3-0 loss.
There were not very many positives to the Blackhawks style of play tonight aside from one individual, and that was 23 year old goaltender
Arvid Soderblom, who posted up a .897 save percentage despite letting in three goals behind a underwhelming Blackhawks defence.
Soderblom was involved in quite the scary situation at the start of the third period between the Blackhawks and Devils, Devils forward
Tomas Tatar's stick went right through Soderblom's helmet poking him directly in the eye.
The video can be seen below:
Soderblom appeared to be in shock as anybody would, the Blackhawks medical trainer came out and examined his eye, all was good and it was time to play ''Hawkey'' once again!
If a stick could fit through his cage- does that mean a puck could as well? This may be something the league should change, as this isn't the first time we've seen this, flashback to this past years playoffs where Darcey Kuemper was bleeding out of his eye and lost his vision, thankfully not forever.
