Sidney Crosby is no stranger to «firsts». Starting with his entry into the NHL, he was the No. 1 pick in the 2005 draft. He became the youngest captain in Penguins history, and subsequently the youngest player to be the captain of a Stanley Cup winning team in 2009. He's led the league in scoring, multiple years, and has a multitude of awards. And last night, he received his first ever game misconduct.

L.A. Kings Mikey Anderson cross-checked/shoved Sid in the back, causing him to pitch forward, into the path of Sean Durzi, who landed on top of the Penguins' fallen Captain. Obviously, Sid took exception to this, and «shared words» with Anderson, earning him a 10 minute misconduct penalty. However, that penalty was deemed unwarranted by Crosby, who was not shy about sharing that information with the refs. Unfortunately for him, and the rest of his team, there was a difference of opinion, and the future Hall of Famer got tossed, for the first time in his career.

His frustration did not dissipate, and he made a non-effort to hide it in his post-game interviews.

Coming off a 6-3 win, only to lose 6-0 would nettle anyone, but you add in the inconstant goalie crisis, the injuries, and the precarious playoff positionat some point, even the most even-tempered pots have to boil over.

To matter matters even more uncomfortable for the Penguins, they are stuck in L.A. until Monday, and will be using the Kings' practice facility that morning before heading to San José.
