Surprising team willing to go all in for Patrick Kane has been revealed
Patrick Kane may have found his new home as a three-time Stanley Cup champion for the Chicago Blackhawks.
The NHL player has been completing his rehabilitation after undergoing hip resurfacing surgery in June.
Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.com believes it is consensus among NHL teams that the Florida Panthers may be the ones to sign Patrick Kane.
"What I can tell you is a lot of teams are wondering if the Florida Panthers are the front runners for Kane's services. You see the start they're off to, they very well of that group be the best chance for Kane to chase a fourth Stanley Cup this season. You see how dynamic their offense has been, carrying that team without their two top defensemen in Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad, both now coming back. You can see this Panthers team take off, and there seems to be some thought that the Panthers could be a multi-year destination.
Kane may not have to sign for just one year, it could be a multi-year deal, or the potential of that down the line with their cap space clearing up. He would be a very interesting fit in South Florida." Seravalli said. As Seravalli mentioned, Kane has talked with more than just the Panthers; he has met with the Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Toronto Maple Leafs as these teams are also vying for a championship.
Are #FlaPanthers the frontrunner for Patrick Kane?
Everyone is keeping a tight lip, but as Kane narrows down his list and closes in on a decision - perhaps later this week - some rivals think #TimeToHunt are the team to beat.
As a 35-year-old winger in the latter part of his career, he played for the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks in 73 games. 2022-2023 saw him score 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points while accruing 16 PIMs and a -22 on ice.
According to some insiders like Seravalli, they think Kane will be making his decision about where to sign soon.
Would Patrick Kane be a good fit in Paul Maurice's system in Florida?
